When:                 June 19, 2010. Time: line up 9:30 A.M., launch is at 10 A.M.

The 4th Annual Floating River Parade is an event you won't want to miss.  We

again want to honor our beautiful Mohican State Scenic River by inviting

everyone and anyone to enjoy an approximately 7 mile trip starting from River Run Canoe Livery.

 

As you canoe down through the Mohican Valley you will be able to see for yourself why it was designated an official State Scenic River in Ohio in December 2006.  The Mohican River runs parallel to the Wally Road Scenic Byway.  The Scenic Byway corridor has nearly 2000 campsites with numerous canoe liveries, food and beverage locales, and a variety of festivals and activities to participate in and enjoy.

 

We look forward to guiding you along the 10.41 mile stretch of Nature, and to help you connect to all there is to gain here!  Once home to the Walhonding Valley Railway (‘The Wally’ for short,) the train ride was once noted as the most beautiful ride you could possibly take in all of Ohio between 1892 and 1942.

Our Goal is to help you get in touch with nature and help celebrate the heritage of the Mohican State Scenic River.

 

So email WallyRoad@gmail.com to pre-register by June 16, get your costume ready (Historical, Native American, or Comical) and mark your calendar for Saturday, June 19 to join us for a day of fun on the beautiful Mohican River.

This is a family-oriented event and therefore no alcoholic beverages are permitted as part of the Floating River Parade.

*PRE-REGISTER:

The spaces for the Floating Parade are first-come, first-serve, so please pre-register for the event by sending an email to wallyroad@gmail.com and tell us your name, the number in your party (2 per canoe maximum) and where you live. We will send you a registration confirmation and a form to print and bring with you.
